WoodFest

WoodFest is a music, art and prairie weekend sponsored by Symphony in the Flint Hills and Camp Wood YMCA. Join us for a day of fun, education and harmony at Camp Wood YMCA near Cottonwood Falls on September 28-29, 2019. WoodFest is an event for ALL people of ALL ages.

Free range music & fun


All day Saturday, September 28, nationally known musicians, artists and nature lovers share all that WoodFest has to offer — a perfect day in the Flint Hills at Camp Wood YMCA. Grab an instrument, a paintbrush and a breath of fresh air. The day ends with a Flint Hills sunset and a magical concert featuring award-winning musicians Eugene Friesen, Max O’Rourke, Jason Anick and the WoodFest Symphonia. The weekend closes Sunday morning as Grammy-Winner Eugene Friesen performs on the prairie stage at 10 a.m. for those that wish to extend the weekend.

WoodFest Passes

Big Bluestem $150
Bring up to eight participants. All ages. One person must be an adult. Includes three meals, choice of six workshops, the Sunset Concert beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday’s Morning Concert at 10 a.m.

Little Bluestem $85
Bring up to four participants. All ages. One person must be an adult. Includes three meals, choice of six workshops, the Sunset Concert beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday’s Morning Concert at 10 a.m.

Individual/Dinner & Concert Only $50
Includes three meals, choice of six workshops, the Sunset Concert beginning at 7 p.m. and Sunday’s Morning Concert at 10 a.m. If attending dinner and concert only, purchase an individual pass.

Add-Ons
Add-ons can be reserved on the WoodFest registration page or by calling the Symphony in the Flint Hills office, 620-273-8955.

Horse Rides
Arena horseback rides are an additional $10 for all ages. Trail horseback rides are an additional $20 for ages nine and over.

Sunday Breakfast and Concert
Sunday’s breakfast is an additional cost of $8 per person. There is no charge with purchase of any WoodFest pass to attend the Sunday Morning Concert with Eugene Friesen. Reservations not needed.

Lodging
Various options are available at Camp Wood YMCA on Friday, September 27 and Saturday, September 28. Reservations can be made on the registration page or by calling the Symphony in the Flint Hills office, 620-273-8955.
