Symphony in the Flint Hills, Inc. announced that its ninth annual Signature Event will be held at the Rosalia Ranch in Butler County on June 14, 2014.
“We are thrilled to have Butler County host the Signature Event for the first time,” said Board Chair Beth Harshfield. “This year, our presenters and musicians will highlight the best of Butler County, which is known for its wildlife, larger-than-life Kansas characters and inspiring skies.”
Since the event’s debut in 2006, the Governor of Kansas has served as honorary chair and the Kansas City Symphony has performed the sunset concert. The event leverages more than 6,000 volunteer hours.
