On December 16 from 1 to 3 p.m., join lens-based artist Shreepad Joglekar for the opening reception of “Islands of Authenticity,” an exhibit of photographs juxtaposing military training sites in Fort Riley, Kansas with those found on the remote Russian island of Kronstadt.
Shreepad Joglekar is a photographer from Mumbai who explores natural, constructed and intellectual spaces. He is currently Assistant Professor and Area Coordinator for Photography at Kansas State University.
The reception will take place at the Symphony in the Flint Hills Gallery (331 Broadway, Cottonwood Falls, KS) and will include remarks from Joglekar at 1:30 p.m. along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and drinks. In addition, all merchandise in the Flint Hills Store will be 25% off on the day of the event (Green Gift Package excluded, in store only).
