Louise is originally from the Flint Hills region and has spent the majority of her life in Council Grove, Kansas. In 2000, Louise became the Executive Director for the National Park Trust until 2010. Louise served as a Board member of Symphony in the Flint Hills at that same time and then in 2010, when the organization was incorporated, she became the Art and Merchandise Manager on staff for SFH, and continues in this capacity for the organization today.
As Art and Merchandise Manager, Louise promotes artwork not only in the Flint Hills but in Kansas and beyond. Developing SFH signature merchandise has become a challenging passion. Louise and her husband enjoy watching sunsets, boating and hanging with friends at their lake home in the heart of the Flint Hills. Louise and Chris have children in Wichita and Austin and a grand dog, with one on the way!
Louise enjoys island-hopping to places like Cabo San Lucas where she has gone scuba diving and golfing on vacation. She has fond memories of trips with friends to Cape Cod where she’s gone whale-watching. When Louise turned 50, she accomplished a major milestone – climbing the Delicate Arch in the Canyonlands of Utah. She aspires to visit all 50 states, with 12 to go on her bucket list. In her spare time, you can find her enjoying lake life in Council Grove and helping her husband with his carpentry and gallery business, Rock Fish Gallery, on main street in Council Grove.
