2022 Major Presenting Sponsor
BNSF Railway is once again honored to partner with Symphony in the Flint Hills in 2022. As Major Presenting Sponsor we look forward to sharing stories and experiences that center around weather in the Flint Hills. Like a mighty Kansas storm or a blue-sky day, BNSF is an enduring part of the Kansas Flint Hills and its economy. Our heritage is strong, and our commitment is true as we move towards the future together.

Prairie Art Exhibit and Auction
Don’t miss your chance to take home some amazing Flint Hills inspired art from the juried Prairie Art Exhibit and Auction! The art is on exhibit daily from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. through June 14 at the Symphony in the Flint Hills Gallery in Cottonwood Falls. The online auction is now open for bidding through 7 p.m. on June 14. Money raised supports the artists and our mission to “heighten appreciation and knowledge of the Flint Hills tallgrass prairie.”
The 2022 Signature Event will take place at Irma’s Pasture in Chase County, Kansas on June 11, 2022. Gates open at 1 p.m.
The site is near Bazaar, approximately eight miles south of Cottonwood Falls on Flint Hills Scenic Byway K-177 Highway. The remote location of the site requires a substantial amount of walking on rocky, uneven dirt pathways. Please plan accordingly.
From snowstorms to spring showers and sunshine for miles, the theme of the 17th annual event will focus on “Weather in the Flint Hills.”
Join us for a full day of festivities including:
- Inspirational talks and presentations
- Guided prairie walks
- Covered wagon rides
- Stories by local musicians and poets
Symphony in the Flint Hills is proud to partner with the Kansas City Symphony for our Signature Event. Their performance will conclude with a Flint Hills sunset.
