WoodFest is a music-based weekend gathering sponsored by Symphony in the Flint Hills and held at Camp Wood YMCA near Emporia each fall. Nationally known musicians teach players of all ages and experiencelevels in dozens of workshops.

Opera WorkShop in the Flint Hills is a Master Class for advanced students and young professional singers. The focus is on helping opera singers find their acting talents and to execute them in a natural and logical way, while maintaining the disciplines which are necessary for the body to optimally function as a singing “instrument”. Scenes from different operas and operettas will be staged, based on the level and capabilities of the participants.
